In-Service Training
For Departments or agencies in search of training, Blue Line Training and Development offers the following courses, hosted at your department.
- Crime Scene Investigation I (40 Hours)
- Crime Scene Investigation II (40 Hours)
- Instructor Development (32 Hours, 16 officer max)
- Crime Scene Photography (16 Hours)
- Living the Blue Life – Things I Wish Someone Told Me (16 Hours)
- Fingerprint and Footwear Evidence (8 Hours)
- Biology and Firearms Evidence (8 Hours)
- Crime Scene Processing and Forensic Disciplines (8 Hours)
- Crime Scene Processing for Patrol (8 Hours)
- De-escalation for Health Care (4 to 8 Hours)
For In-Service Training your Agency serves as host; for most courses (unless noted) the max # of students is 24. There is no minimum number for the training to take place. You may collaborate with other Departments to fill the class up to 24. There is a flat fee for each course which includes 2 instructors which gives the ILETSB preferred Student / Instructor ratio of 12 to 1. Blue Line Training and Development will coordinate with each department and local MTUs (Mobile Training Units) to obtain the mandates that count toward the Illinois Law Enforcement Training and Standards Board required mandated training hours.
